In the late summer of 2019, the life of a young woman and her unborn child were tragically cut short in a burst of violence on a New Orleans East street. Tychelle Ridgely, a 28-year-old female, was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting on the evening of Wednesday, August 21, 2019. The incident, which also claimed the life of her unborn baby, unfolded in the 4900 block of Lonely Oak Drive.
