In the late hours of a Tuesday evening in Shreveport, Louisiana, the life of 20-year-old Javarcya Jay J Smith, a male, was tragically cut short. On February 25, 2020, just after 10:00 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the night in the 1800 block of Viking Drive. When Shreveport Police patrol officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Smith suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
