Dante Denny, a 29-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in a shooting on June 7, 2020, in the Near West Side neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2:29 a.m., in the first block of South Seeley Avenue. Officers responding to reports of shots fired found Denny on the ground with gunshot wounds to his chest. He was immediately taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
