In the spring of 2020, the life of 21-year-old Alpha Omega Smith Jr., a Black male from Metairie, Louisiana, was tragically cut short by gun violence. On the evening of May 19th, or in the early hours of May 20th, a violent altercation unfolded that resulted in Smith's death and left another individual wounded.
