In the late summer of 2016, the life of 34-year-old Jeffery Johnson was tragically cut short by an act of gun violence in Metairie, Louisiana. On the evening of September 7th, Johnson was fatally shot in what has become known as the 'Bengal Road homicide.' The incident was one of three shootings, two of them fatal, that occurred in East Jefferson around the same time, suggesting a possible link between the violent episodes.
