Brenda Mullens, a 40-year-old woman, was fatally shot in her Baton Rouge home on Joyce Drive on the night of September 16, 2020. The incident unfolded around 10:28 p.m. following what authorities described as a verbal argument. Mullens was transported to a local hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries. Her three children were present at the residence when the shooting occurred.
