Myesha Davis, a 27-year-old African American woman from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, tragically lost her life on October 24, 2021. Reports indicate that Myesha was at home with her children when her fiancé, 28-year-old Vinnie Mackie Jr., shot her while she was on her bed.
After fatally shooting Myesha, Mackie then turned the gun on himself, ending his own life in a murder-suicide. The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed the events, stating that detectives were investigating the shooting that occurred around 6:32 p.m.
At the time of the tragedy, Myesha had been attempting to end her relationship with Mackie. She had reportedly returned his engagement ring and expressed that she could not continue with the relationship, a decision that tragically led to the fatal confrontation.
