Ja’Tyri Unique Brown, a one-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on May 31, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred during a Memorial Day gathering at the Fairway View Apartments. Ja’Tyri was playing near the pool when gunfire erupted, resulting in her being struck by a bullet. She was later pronounced dead at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
