Christopher Akeem Smith, a 29-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 30, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 7:48 PM in the 4500 block of Gus Young Avenue. According to Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives, Smith was shot and subsequently transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
