In the early hours of January 31, 2021, a burst of violence on Destrehan Avenue in Harvey, Louisiana, set in motion a grim discovery that would only fully unfold days later. A 34-year-old Black man named David Brignac, a resident of Harvey, was found deceased in what would become a homicide investigation.
