In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a violent encounter on February 7, 2021, set in motion a chain of events that would ultimately claim the life of Warren West. That night, the 31-year-old Black / African American man was the victim of a shooting during an attempted armed robbery. The exact location of the attack remains a mystery, as West, wounded, managed to make his way to a gas station on Florida Boulevard to call for help.
