In the winter of 2021, the life of 38-year-old Marvin Lewis, a male resident of Monroe, Louisiana, was cut short in a violent outburst of gunfire. On the night of February 22nd, in the vicinity of Dick Taylor and Standifer Street, Lewis was the victim of what authorities described as a gangland-style shooting. The brutal nature of the attack sent ripples of concern through the community as word spread about the incident.
