In the late hours of a Thursday night in Monroe, Louisiana, the life of 14-year-old Damion Travis Moore Jr. was tragically cut short. On May 22, 2025, the young freshman from Carroll High School was spending the night at a friend's house, enjoying an evening of video games. Around 11:30 p.m., he had a cheerful phone call with his mother, Shalanda Jackson, filled with laughter and jokes, a final conversation that would become a cherished and heartbreaking memory.
