Jaborris Simpson, 25, a Black male, was found shot to death in the early morning hours of October 28, 2025, inside a residence on the 2000 block of Grammont Street in Monroe, Louisiana. Officers with the Monroe Police Department responded at about 2:56 a.m. and discovered three victims: Simpson, his 2-year-old daughter, Jhersi, and his friend, Jamal Bosley. All three had fatal gunshot wounds, a scene that city leaders later described as a moral wake-up call for the community.
