Dewayne Craig Dunn Jr., a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 31, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dewayne was one of three victims in a horrific shooting incident that took place at the Fairway View Apartments on College Drive. The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. when several individuals entered a gated pool area where people had gathered. A brief struggle ensued before the suspects opened fire, hitting Dewayne, another man, and an infant child.
