On April 25, 2023, a tragic incident occurred at the Canterbury House Apartments located on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Latonya Brown, 47, and her son Stacy Brown, 19, were found deceased inside their apartment. The Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) reported that the bodies were discovered around 6:06 pm by a young woman who had returned home and found her mother and brother shot.
