In the spring of 2024, a violent encounter in Baton Rouge tragically cut short the life of 36-year-old Terrell James Williams. On the evening of May 24th, a shooting erupted at a residence on Starboard Drive, leaving Williams dead at the scene. Two other men were also struck by gunfire in the attack. One of the surviving victims was reported to be in critical condition, while the other sustained a graze wound.
The incident prompted an investigation by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's
Office, which quickly identified a suspect in the fatal shooting. Authorities began searching for 45-year-old Kendrick Jerrold Henderson, naming him as the man wanted in connection with the deadly event. Investigators believe that Henderson entered the home where his former girlfriend was present and opened fire on the three men inside.
Following the shooting, law enforcement officials announced that a second victim had succumbed to their injuries, elevating the gravity of the case. While an arrest was reportedly made in the Starboard Drive shooting, details confirming Henderson's capture have not been publicly released. Henderson was sought on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder for his alleged role in the violence that claimed the life of Terrell James Williams and another individual.
