On August 12, 2011, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a tragic incident occurred involving Mary Swift, 37, and her boyfriend, Edward Lay, 37. The couple became embroiled in a heated argument over the volume of a stereo. During the dispute, Lay retrieved a handgun and fatally shot Swift multiple times. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
