George Barnett Nelson Sr., a 56-year-old male, was a cherished figure in his Indianapolis community, known for his generosity and the welcoming atmosphere of his restaurant, Pa & Ma's Backyard BBQ. His life was abruptly cut short on the evening of August 21, 2024, in a violent confrontation that stemmed from a simple business dispute. The incident unfolded outside his restaurant, a place he had poured his heart and soul into, located in the 2600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
