In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 3, 2026, the life of 20-year-old Brayan Munoz Romero, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on the east side of Indianapolis. The incident, which unfolded just before 7 a.m. at the Hawthorne Apartments, also claimed the life of 17-year-old Christian Maradiagas Gonzalez and left two other individuals, an adult and a juvenile, in critical but stable condition.
