In the summer of 2006, a horrific crime shook the city of Indianapolis, claiming the life of 8-year-old David Covarrubias and six members of his family in their home on North Hamilton Avenue. The young boy was found murdered alongside his father, Alberto Covarrubias, 56; his mother, Emma Valdez, 46; his older brother, Alberto Covarrubias Jr., 11; his half-brother, Magno Albarran, 29; his half-sister, Flora Albarran, 22; and his 5-year-old nephew, Luis Albarran.
