In the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, the life of a 54-year-old African-American man, Adolphus King, was tragically cut short in a violent encounter on the night of November 20, 2007. Responding to a call for a person shot at approximately 9:57 p.m., police officers arrived at 4 Beale Street to find King suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
