Demond Lavatay Washington, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 18, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was identified by the coroner’s office on July 19, 2021, through fingerprint comparison. Washington succumbed to his injuries at a Shreveport hospital around 8:50 p.m. on the night of the incident. An autopsy was ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
