Michael A’Jan “Man” Williams, 23, was a Black man whose last hours in New Orleans, Louisiana unfolded in the predawn quiet of October 4, 2021, when gunfire shattered the French Quarter. In the 400 block of Burgundy Street, he was found down on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound, and emergency responders rushed him to a hospital, where he died.
