Death by Force

Richard Washington, a 48-year-old African American man, was tragically shot to death on October 10, 2021, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the owner of Wing Taxi, a popular restaurant in the French Quarter, which had just opened its doors two days prior to his death. Washington was found shot in the backyard of his Marigny apartment in the 2200 block of Burgundy Street around 7:30 p.m. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
