Derrick Cowart, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 13, 2021, in Monroe, Louisiana. According to reports, Derrick was killed in a shooting that occurred on Magnolia Street. The Monroe Police Department responded to the incident shortly after 11 p.m. on the night of the shooting.
