In August of 2019, a tense and violent scene unfolded on North 15th Street in Philadelphia's Tioga-Nicetown section, forever altering the life of a man named Maurice Hill. The 41-year-old man found himself at the center of a protracted standoff with law enforcement that would leave several police officers wounded and a community shaken. The incident began when narcotics officers attempted to serve a warrant at a residence where Hill was located.
