William Robert "Bob" Lang Jr., a 76-year-old man from Natchitoches, Louisiana, was found shot dead in his bed on December 29, 2021. His death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy revealed multiple gunshot wounds. Lang's wife, who is visually impaired, reported him missing after not hearing from him for over 24 hours. When deputies arrived at the scene, they noticed broken glass on the residence and found Lang's body inside.
