In the early morning hours of September 25, 2022, the life of 21-year-old Jaquarian Casson, a Black male from Natchitoches, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. At approximately 12:15 a.m., officers from the Natchitoches Police Department responded to a call of a gunshot victim on Saida Street, in the vicinity of Carter's Mobile Home Park. Upon their arrival, they discovered Casson suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite the immediate response from law enforcement, Jaquarian Casson's
injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office. The Natchitoches Police Department subsequently launched a homicide investigation into the shooting. In the course of their investigation, it was reported that two suspects were taken into custody in connection with the incident.
The investigation into the death of Jaquarian Casson remains ongoing. Authorities have encouraged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and contact the Natchitoches Police Department or to provide anonymous tips through Natchitoches Crime Stoppers. The community has been asked to assist in bringing clarity and justice to this case.
