In the wake of the shooting, the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Jeroton Jackson II, seeking him on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. Subsequently, it was reported that four individuals, all 18 years of age or younger, had been arrested in connection with the murder of the young student. The tragic event cut short a promising young life and left a profound impact on the students and families of the involved schools.
