Michael Gene Thornton III, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 8, 2022, in Alexandria, Louisiana. The Alexandria Police Department responded to a call at the intersection of Lee and Broadway just after 1 a.m. on that fateful Sunday. Upon arrival, they discovered Michael Gene Thornton III deceased at the scene, a victim of gun violence.
