In the summer of 2022, a young man from Hammond, Louisiana, 22-year-old Tywonne 'DayDay' Neal, vanished without a trace. Last seen on July 17, 2022, his disappearance prompted an investigation by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office. As the days turned into weeks, the hope of his safe return began to fade, replaced by a growing sense of dread.
The search for Tywonne Neal came to a heartbreaking end on August 2, 2022, when his remains were discovered in a shallow grave near Singing
Waterfall Road in the rural community of Husser. The grim discovery confirmed the fears of his loved ones and the authorities: Tywonne Neal had been the victim of a homicide.
Investigators quickly identified three suspects in connection with the murder. On August 3, 2022, 20-year-old Zoei Casnave of Folsom and 24-year-old Dominick Brumfield of Hammond were taken into custody. A third suspect, 22-year-old Milton Clark III of Covington, was apprehended by federal agents while he was working on a tugboat in the Gulf of Mexico. All three individuals were charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and obstruction of justice. Following their arrests, Casnave and Brumfield were booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, while Clark was initially jailed in Texas to await extradition to Louisiana.
