On a quiet Easter Sunday in Hammond, Louisiana, the life of 53-year-old Cedric Banks Sr. was tragically cut short. On the evening of April 9, 2023, Banks was found shot near Martin Luther King Park. The Hammond Police Department responded to the incident which occurred around 7:15 p.m.
