In the summer of 2022, a shooting incident in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, resulted in the death of 66-year-old Leslie Joseph Riley Jr. The male victim was on Tennessee Street on the afternoon of July 24, 2022, when gunfire erupted from a passing vehicle. Riley was struck by the gunfire and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A second person, a 20-year-old male, was also wounded in the shooting and taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
