Described as awesome, loving, and kind, he was a father who had attended Booker T. Washington High School and worked for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. His life was a valued part of his community.
On Saturday, August 27, 2022, that life was violently taken.
In the Central City neighborhood, on the 2800 block of South Johnson Street, Williams was shot multiple times. According to the New Orleans Police Department and the local coroner's office, he died at the scene.
His killing was part of a particularly violent period in the city.
