In the early morning hours of November 16, 2023, the life of 17-year-old Sheldon Jefferson was tragically cut short in a double homicide in New Orleans. The male teenager was found alongside 16-year-old Reginald Scott Williams Jr. on Michoud Boulevard, both having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
The New Orleans Police Department responded to a call just after 4 a.m. and discovered the two young men deceased at the scene in the 5500 block of Michoud Boulevard.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's office later officially identified the victims. At present, information regarding the circumstances that led to the shooting, a potential motive, or any identified suspects remains limited as the investigation is ongoing.
