Latoya Kellum, a 30-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on September 16, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The incident occurred late Saturday night in the Mooretown neighborhood. Shreveport police were called to the 4300 block of Illinois Avenue around 11 p.m. in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Latoya Kellum suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
