On the evening of October 7, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the calm in a Baton Rouge neighborhood, leaving a young man's life tragically cut short. Kenzell Herbert, a 24-year-old male, was shot and killed while sitting in a car with a friend on Elm Drive, just off Winbourne Avenue, at approximately 6:30 p.m. An unknown assailant, riding a four-wheeler, opened fire on the vehicle, striking both occupants.
