Driscoll, a white male and seven-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department's 41st Precinct, was fatally wounded during an operation near Miller Station in Lake County, Indiana. The mission aimed to apprehend suspects involved in the murder of Patrolman John Quinn and a series of violent robberies in Chicago.
