Brandon Jefferson, a 30-year-old African American male, was fatally shot inside a home in the South Chicago neighborhood on November 24, 2020. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 4:40 a.m., in the 8100 block of South Bennett Avenue. Jefferson was shot multiple times in the back and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide, confirming that he died from his injuries.
