On November 11, 1978, 90-year-old Emmanuel Dahl was fatally shot in his vitamin shop on Chicago's northwest side. Authorities found no evidence of robbery, and friends reported no prior threats against the elderly male victim. The lack of apparent motive left investigators puzzled.
