In the early hours of December 20, 2015, African American female Ieshea N. Abdullah, 21, left a North Side nightclub with friends and stepped into the bitter dark of Chicago's Bucktown/West Town industrial corridor near Elston and Wabansia.
A fight that had begun inside Koncrete Nightclub spilled into the street around 3:40–3:50 a.m. As the two groups walked toward their cars, the argument reignited; a man pulled a gun and opened fire.
