In a tragic turn of events on May 10, 2019, a domestic dispute in the Frayser neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee, claimed the life of an innocent bystander. Marcus DeWayne Powell, a 20-year-old African American male, was fatally shot and later died from his injuries at a hospital. The incident began with a conflict between Darunn Turner and his 14-year-old son. Turner left the residence only to return shortly after, opening fire at the home.
