On September 24, 2017, Carlos Montalvo, age 33, was fatally shot in the Newmarket Square area of Boston, near the intersection of Southampton and Topeka Streets. The shooting occurred around 6:40 a.m., and Montalvo was rushed to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The Boston Police Department responded quickly to the scene but have since classified the case as unsolved, continuing their investigation while seeking information from the public.
