Michael Montrell Sutton Jr., a 31-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on June 23, 2018, in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. on the 100 block of East 51st Street. Sutton Jr. was among five individuals standing on a sidewalk when someone in a gray vehicle opened fire on them.
