Darrien Wilson, a 31-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on February 1, 2019, in his apartment located in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago, IL. According to reports, Wilson was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed his death, which left his family and community in shock and mourning.
