Devonta J. Anderson, a 30-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on December 20, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. Anderson was standing on the sidewalk in the 2800 block of West 63rd Street when a vehicle drove by, and someone from inside fired shots, striking him in the back. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The incident was initially reported as a drive-by shooting.
