Lanell Fields Jr., a 25-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on September 29, 2020, in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred on the 400 block of North Springfield Avenue around 12:48 p.m. Fields was struck in the chest and was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries approximately four hours later.
