Kennedy Blount, a 30-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 8, 2018, in the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. when Blount was walking in the 1600 block of South Homan Avenue. According to reports, a gray Jaguar approached, and an unknown assailant exited the vehicle, opening fire on Blount. He was struck in the head and right arm.
