Lashawn Blakemore, a 25-year-old African American man from Maywood, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on April 26, 2020, in the Galewood neighborhood on the Northwest Side of Chicago. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. while Blakemore and a 21-year-old woman were inside a vehicle in the 6200 block of West Wabansia Avenue.
